I had ice cream...in bed...for breakfast. Surrounded by a pack of labradors. Perfect.
Midday was lunch and Batman, with two of my siblings. Pizza Shuttle in downtown Milwaukee is hands down my favorite pizza. Anywhere. Ever. I spent a lot of late nights there in high school, when it used to be this dingy little hole in the wall. Now it's a little shinier and family friendly, but the pizza dough is still to die for.
The afternoon was spent drinking silver tequila margaritas in the back yard. The tequila was a very delicious birthday gift from a friend of mine who think's he's very funny. You're funny. But not like ha-ha funny. PS That birthday card was a little uncalled for. But only a little.
The evening consisted partly of this view. The Iron Horse Hotel in downtown Milwaukee has the best outdoor patio. Shame their service was sort of subpar. But I'd still try it again. Just for the views.
It was a pretty low key day, all things considered. And I was happy to keep it that way. The rest of my vacation in Milwaukee was pretty over planned and over booked. I was happy enough just to spend my 25th birthday with my family and friends relaxing around town.
Oh wait. What was that? 25? Yep. I turned 25. I can't quite recall the last time I actually stated my age on here. But now it's out there for all the world to know. I've got another blog post coming up about my mixed feelings on my new age; but I'd like to give a few days to simmer. Since I'm still battling the comments from the aforementioned funnyman, my own opinion hasn't quite surfaced.
But in the mean time, happy belated birthday to me. :)

glad you had such a great birthday!
Happy Birthday! Can't wait to read your reflections on turning 25. My 25th is coming up in September and I also have mixed emotions on the big 2 - 5.
