I'm just a single girl trying to make my way in the world.

I live, work, and go to graduate school in the Washington, DC area. My Great Atlantic Adventure began in August 2010, when I moved from Wisconsin to become a professional book nerd. I'm going to school for Publishing, so anything relating to book/magazines/journals/newspapers/etc. is right up my alley.

My best friends are my life, even when we're a time zone apart.
I'm a very proud big sister; watch out everybody, my siblings are out to take over the world.

I love the beach, but hate the sand. I'm a sucker for a themed party. 

And, like any good writer, I'll always have a pen handy.

Depending on the time of day, my beverages of choice are: iced tea (unsweetened), 

Starbucks Double Shot Vanilla (light), Pinot Grigio (any), 

and a bloody mary (spicy, with worsteshire, and lots of toppings).

a big believer in karma (or something like it).



I am not...

quiet,

a morning person (although, I'm working on that),

going to be the one to start a fight,

and

not afraid to correct your bad grammar.

But that's just me.
